4.  💰 xAI is Closing $6B in Funding

Elon Musk’s 10-month-old OpenAI competitor, xAI, is raising $6 billion on a pre-money valuation of $18 billion. The deal is expected to close in the next few weeks and would give investors one quarter of the company.

5.  👚 EU Targets Shein for Counterfeits

Shein, a major online shopping platform, will be required to comply with the EU’s Digital Services Act due to its new designation of a “very large online platform” (VLOP). The label requires big tech companies to comply with rules around content moderation, including counterfeits, and user privacy and safety.
